Lavazza A Modo Mio Fantasia Capsule Coffee Machine

Lavazza A Modo Mio Fantasia Capsule Coffee Machine

The Lavazza A Modo Mio Fantasia Capsule Coffee Machine is a mid-market coffee pod machine that comes in three colours (red, white and black) and will fit in nicely on your kitchen counter giving you perfect cappuccinos, lattes and even milkshakes and frappuccinos every time.

This compact coffee maker comes with a ‘Steam & Motion’ system that produces perfect frothy milk every time but what is really impressive is that the milk can be either hot or cold. That gives this coffee maker an edge in a very crowded market because it means this machine can not only make you the perfect espresso, cappuccino or latte but it can make delicious frappuccinos and milk shakes too. The espresso function on this machine produces great coffee with a lovely head of crema from Lavazza coffee pods while the front-side milk steamer and frother will make the perfect cup of hot or cold frothy milk to complete your drink in under 3 minutes.

The pods, which come in a huge range of flavours, slide easily into the top of the machine and are then cranked into place with the metal arm on the top of the machine. You then have the option of choosing between a single shot of espresso or ‘long’ drink. While some hardcore coffee enthusiasts may question the use of coffee pods over ground coffee, there is no questioning the convenience coffee pod machines provide.

The Lavazza A Modo Mio Fantasia Capsule Coffee Machine is a feature-packed, compact and versatile coffee pod machine that will look right at home on your kitchen counter

Nespresso DeLonghi U Milk Coffee Machine

If you’re tight for space but would still like to have the convenience of a coffee pod machine in your kitchen then the Nespresso DeLonghi U Milk Coffee Machine might be the answer you’re looking for. Branded by DeLonghi, the U Milk is Nespresso’s less expensive offering in their extensive coffee machine range.

The machine, which comes in a choice of three colours (cream, black, grey and orange), is designed with flexibility in mind and so can to fit into the tightest of spaces. Made from recyclable materials it is largely plastic but somehow doesn’t feel cheap at all. It does, however, have a few clever features like the 0.8-litre water tank which is, by default, positioned at the back of the machine but can be swivelled left or right too so that the machine is able to fit into very tight spaces.

Making a coffee with the Nespresso U Milk is as easy as 1-2-3. You simply select one of the capacitive coffee size buttons on the front of the machine – ristretto 25ml, espresso 40ml or lungo 110ml – wait for the green light to stop flashing, place your cup under the spout, insert your chosen coffee pod and the machine will deliver your coffee.

The U Milk doesn’t come with a milk frother as standard, but, in Australia, Nespresso does offer an option where you could bundle in a separate Aeroccino 3 milk frother. Other great features of this coffee machine include 25-second heat up time, programmable auto-power off function, automatic ejection of used pods and easy cleaning through its modular design. The Nespresso DeLonghi U Milk Coffee Machine retails at a very competitive RRP and is a great entry level coffee machine for those who are tight on space.

DeLonghi Dolce Gusto Jovia

The DeLonghi Dolce Gusto Jovia Coffee Machine is all about simplicity and convenience and, being fair, if that is what you’re looking for from your next coffee machine then the Jovia has it nailed!

Making a drink with the Jovia really couldn’t be easier. You simply add water, wait for it to heat up, insert your pods and you’re done! Your drink will be ready in under a minute. The Jovia comes with a removable drip tray too so it can accommodate most cup sizes and it also has an auto switch-off function.

This very affordable machine can make a large range of drinks including Skinny Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Grande Intenso, Cappuccino, Chococino, Americano and Cafe Au Latte to name just a few. You do need to be aware though that the trade-off for the sheer ease and convenience of this coffee maker is that each drink will generally require two pods – one for the coffee and another for the milk. If you’re an occasional coffee drinker that’s probably ok but, for more dedicated coffee lovers, it can get a little expensive.

The DeLonghi Dolce Gusto Jovia is for you if you’re looking for ease, convenience, and speed at a very affordable price. It is great for the occasional coffee drinker but if you’re a more ardent coffee enthusiast then we’d suggest considering one of the other coffee machines in our list of reviews.
